Meet the Team
Doug Bishop: Senior Director / Beverage Innovation
With over 30 years of work experience in the beverage industry, Doug has several training and certifications in specialty brewing techniques, including Specialty Coffee Association and Specialty Tea Institute programs. His professional experience prior to BUNN included being the head roaster for a regional coffee company in Illinois. Doug joined BUNN over 20 years ago as a member of the BUNN engineering department, before being promoted to Product Manager. As Product Manager, he led the development of many innovative-commercial coffee brewing technologies and equipment families. His current role is Senior Director of Beverage Innovation. His passion and love of coffee drive him to help customers around the world brew the best cup of coffee possible.
Chairil McClain: Senior Director / Beverage Innovation
Chairil first gained her love for coffee working as a Wholesale Account Manager for one of the biggest names in third-wave specialty coffee. She continued this passion when she joined the BUNN family 8 years ago. Chairil was a Product Manager at BUNN and led the development of cold brew and cold coffee solutions, dispensed water products, and water filtration. Her desire for learning and sharpening her brewing mastery skills have only grown. In her current role of Senior Director of Beverage Innovation, she keeps a keen eye on market and consumer trends, analyzes new developments in the beverage space, and works in close collaboration with cross-functional teams and customers to help optimize their products. A life-long learner, Chairil continues to sharpen her sensory and brewing mastery skills through trade association programs and industry engagement.
